Today is Wednesday, February 20th, 2019. “O Lord, you have searched me and know me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar….Where shall I go from your Spirit” These are David’s words in Psalm 139 and they come to mind when reading John 2:23-25. Jesus knows our hearts, he is not fooled by insincere belief. This passage highlights the wonderful promise that Jesus entrust himself to those who truly believe but it also gives warning to those who would profess belief with their lips while living with faithless hearts. - Jon

The following guide is a resource for you to use in your personal time of solitude with the Lord as well as when you connect with the Community that you facilitate.  It can also be used for times with family or friends around the table.

CATCH-UP- What was your high and low from last week/yesterday?

SING + PRAY- Take some time for song (guitar, hymn, acapella or read a Psalm) and extended prayer as an individual/community.  A simple path of prayer is to pray through one of the Psalms as a group or use the acronym ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication).

[John 2:23-25]
23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing. 24 But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people 25 and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.
