Today is Thursday, May 3rd, 2018. Often times when talking to someone about the Gospel I have thought “If I just knew a little more. If I just understood this passage a little better. If I could just explain this more simply then I could help them understand.” A good friend and pastor once said to me “The moment I realized that it isn’t my words, but the Spirit of God, that converts the heart was the moment I was set free.” This is not to say that the study of the word is of no importance, but as Paul says it is “by the power of the Spirit of God” not by our own intelligence or works.

_ How do you share the Gospel of Christ with those around you who don’t know Him?
_ Do you rely on the Power of the Spirit of God or your own?

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19

14 I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another. 15 But on some points I have written to you very boldly by way of reminder, because of the grace given me by God 16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. 17 In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to be proud of my work for God. 18 For I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to bring the Gentiles to obedience—by word and deed, 19 by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God—so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ; 20 and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else's foundation, 21 but as it is written,

“Those who have never been told of him will see,

   and those who have never heard will understand.”
