Today is Thursday, May 3rd, 2018. Often times when talking to someone about the Gospel I have thought “If I just knew a little more. If I just understood this passage a little better. If I could just explain this more simply then I could help them understand.” A good friend and pastor once said to me “The moment I realized that it isn’t my words, but the Spirit of God, that converts the heart was the moment I was set free.” This is not to say that the study of the word is of no importance, but as Paul says it is “by the power of the Spirit of God” not by our own intelligence or works.

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19
