Today is Thursday, April 6th, 2018. In the face of the evil that happens every day in our world often times, my only hope it to cling to that which is good. God and His gospel is the greatest good. The hope that lies in this pushes me forward each day to reach out in love to those around me. I try to approach each interaction with others by being as genuine as I can be. Showing respect and honor in love to those my life intersects with. This is not to say our ministry is a contest where I abhor those who fall short around me. In fact, I often fall short. I lose my patience with others and put myself first. This selfishness of my own should be detested. I look to Christ and cling to His example shrugging off my own selfish life.

(Take time to write down responses to these questions or discuss in your group)
_ What do you abhor? What do you “cling” or “hold fast” to?
_ How can love be sincere or genuine?

Heavenly Father we pray today that your Spirit may cause us to cling to what is good and abhor that which is evil. Let us show love for one another just as Christ did in His ministry on earth until his return. Amen
