Today is Thursday, March 8th, 2018. Life can throw curve balls our way but the one thing we can always be assured of is that we stand with Christ. When we are on the side of Christ then we have nothing to fear no matter what life throws our way. Nothing can take away what we now know about Christ. - Austin

(Take time to write down responses to these questions or discuss in your group)
_ Do you realize that God is for you?
_ In the midst of pain and trials are you reminded that we have the ultimate victory?

Pray that God may illuminate our day to show us that even in the midst of a bad day, week, month, or year that He is for us and the love of Christ intercedes for us in all things that we might see the glory of God in the midst of hardship.

DISCOVER  [Romans 8:31-39]
+ WHAT is this passage saying and what do we learn?
(Use these questions below each portion of text to clarify the main point)

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;

we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

_ In vs 31 who is for us?
_ In vs 32 who was given up for us all?
_ in vs 33 who justifies?
_ In vs 34 what did Christ do and what is he doing?
_ In vs 35 what is questioned?
_ In vs 37 what is the answer Paul gives?
_ In vs 38 can anything separate us from Christ?

+ HOW am I compelled to confess sin and how does the gospel compel me to respond with a simple step of action/obedience?  (Here are some thoughts to discuss in break-outs)
_ Is there a hardship that causes you to question whether God is for or against you?
_ How are you daily reminding yourself that God gave up His very son so you may come to see His love?
_ Is there anyone in your life who needs to hear the hope that lies in the gospel of Christ?

+ WHO are you walking with to discover or grow in Jesus and what is your next step with them, how can we help?
