Happy Mid-week.  In the aftermath of a song, we find, in today's Scripture, Jesus sharing some sobering news with his friends only to expose how we often think we are much further along in our own maturity than we actually are.

CONNECT (Take time to write down responses to these questions or discuss in your group)
_ What is one thing you are thankful to God for today?  What is one thing you are struggling with?
_ What is one way you see Jesus working in the lives of those you are walking with, what opportunities will you have to pray, serve or share the love of Jesus with them today or this week?

Take some time to thank and praise God for who He is, and pray for conviction in the lives of people who are in need of his grace.

DISCOVER [ Mark 14.26-31 ] 26 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. 27 And Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’ 28 But after I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee.” 29 Peter said to him, “Even though they all fall away, I will not.” 30 And Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” 31 But he said emphatically, “If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” And they all said the same.
