Happy Monday morning. What a wonderful array of Easter Gatherings we had yesterday!  The resurrected Christ is on the move in the lives of many in our city and area.  In today's reading and this week we will be looking at different post-resurrection accounts or texts that deal with the resurrection. Beginning this week look for posts from other gifted teachers from our church family including Ian Burgess, Kim Williams, Max Myers and Peter Pieringer.

Grace + Peace,

CONNECT (Take time to write down responses to these questions or discuss in your group)
_ What was the one thing that you took away from celebrating the resurrection of Jesus yesterday?
_ What questions do you still have or are you wrestling through?

Take some time to pray that the resurrection would take deep root in your life today and that you would be able to share the news of Jesus being raised to new life with someone you know who has expressed curiosity about your faith.

DISCOVER [ 1 Corinthians 16.1-7 ] Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.

+ WHAT is this passage saying and what do we learn?
_ What is Paul saying about the gospel in vs. 1 an 2?
_ In vs.3-4 what are we being reminded of?
_ What do we discover in vs. 5 about what happened after the resurrection?
_ Why do you think this is
important for us today?

+ HOW does this passage convict you of an area of sin in your life and what is your next step in response?

+ WHO in your life are you intentionally walking with to discover or grow in Jesus?  How is it going and what is your next step? (e.g., family, friends, co-workers or neighbors through a group or discovery study)
