In today's pithy reading we find the Pharisee's demanding a sign from Jesus only to discover how this demand causes him to sigh deeply.  These daily postings are a resource guide for you as you walk with others to grow in or discover Jesus.  A portion of this weeks reading will be taught on this Sunday at Downtown Hope's gathering.  Pass them along to others!

CONNECT (Take time to write down responses to these questions)
_ What is causing you to sigh deeply today (disappointing you) and what is causing elation in your spirit?
_ What is one way you have seen the Lord working in the lives of those you are walking with to grow in or discover the way of Jesus?

Take some time to praise God, to pray for those you are walking with to grow or discover Jesus, for the needs you/group are facing, and for the Spirit to highlight truth as you read.

DISCOVER  [ Mark 8.11-13 ]  11 The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven to test him. 12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation.” 13 And he left them, got into the boat again, and went to the other side.
