Today is Thursday, December 28th, 2017 I wish you a happy new year. The Holidays can bring about both joy for some and stress for others. As Christmas fades so does some of the goodwill and peace. However the peace the Lord brings never fades. Today's scripture is from the Psalms. No matter what this world or life is throwing your way we can know that God is Lord over all. God is described as enthroned over the flood. The very flood that covered the earth is under the Lord's command. Nothing is outside of His power. I hope in this season you find peace in the truth that God is sovereign over all of life. Peace that is not temporary but peace from a ruler enthroned forever.

(Take time to write down responses to these questions or discuss in your group)
_ Is there a flood in your life?
_ Do you find peace in knowing that even in the midst of everything the Lord is enthroned?

Take time to acknowledge God as Lord over all. Pray that he might grant us strength and peace through trusting in His Lordship. Through His rule He brings about peace forever.
