SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2014;  6-9.30PM @ 122B South St.

THEOLOGY

CHARACTER

  • Live It Out:  I am a member of a local church, and frequently gather with believers in large group setting (ie, Gathering) and in smaller communities (Community Groups).  Read Heb 10:23-25 and meditate on the hardest part of being a part of a local church consistently and how being active in a healthy local church has benefited your formation in Christ.

  • Live It Out: I have followed Jesus' example and model and have participated in believer's baptism. Read this simple training on Baptism.  Have you been baptized as a believer?  If not, take the next steps to be baptized in your local church or at Downtown Hope.  If you have, consider what did that moment mean for you then and now?

PRAXIS

Live it Out: I serve within my spiritual gifts in the context of the local church.  Read Gal 5:13 and (based on your spiritual gifts test taken last month) consider how you are using your gifts to serve within your local church.  Between now and next session, take an active step to volunteer in an area where you are gifted to serve within the church you attend regularly.  Reach out!  Take a risk!
