Assessment Questions Answered

+ What defines a human being?
      + Body/Spirit
      + interactive relationship with God, ourselves, others, and creation

+ What is shalom?
      + the universal peace and connectedness between us and all things that was present in the Garden

+ Explain the effects and extent of the fall 
      + In all creation and within a person
      + relationship with our ourselves, 
      + relationship with one another, 
      + relationship with God, 
      + relationship with the earth

+ What is sin?    
      + Sin is any disruption, violation, or falling short of God's created order, design, and purposes for His people.                       

+ What are some of the common idols you struggle with at a heart level and what about gospel treats those root issues?

+ Are you accountable, approachable and confess sin in your Community Group?

+ Are there any areas your life is not above reproach according to 1 Tim 3:2, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5.2?

+ Do you have any secret addictions or flesh patterns that you are currently practicing/have been practicing in the last 9-12months? [e.g. alcohol, drug use, pornography, sexual immorality, gluttony, overspending, etc.]. Is there any area of your life that you would describe as not being above reproach? [Per I Tim 3:1-7 or Galatians 5:16-26].

+ How would you describe your relationship with your wife/husband/s/o? Children? [If applicable]. What do you do to foster those relationships and their walk with Jesus? Describe

+ Do you have any unresolved conflicts currently? Explain what you have done to help resolve this or another conflict?

+ How would you describe your approachability or teach-ability? Describe what you do to make it easier/safer for others to speak truth or correction or advice into your life?

+ Someone is confused about whether they are saved, they professed faith in Jesus but continue to struggle with sin patterns in their lives.  How will you approach and work through this with them?
      + Remind them of who they are in Christ- that they are forgiven/nothing can separate them from the love of God that is in Christ- Romans 8
      + Remind them that they are filled with the Holy Spirit, a temple of the Holy Spirit,  and that this is no longer who they are 1 Cor 6.19-20
      + Call them to repent and believe the gospel anew and be filled with the Spirit afresh to stop gratifying their sinful nature- Galatians 5.22
      + Challenge them to connect in a Community to begin growing in grace and confess their sins ongoingly. 
      + Pray with them and follow-up with them.

+ A young dating couple (twenty-something) just became members of your church, and they are excited to grow and serve through a church like yours that is on mission. After you and a few others had dinner together, they let everyone know they are moving in together and excited to save money.
