“He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.”
[ 2 Corinthians 9.10-11 ]
At our Gatherings this week we shared an immediate need to replenish the food pantry for our friends in the Newtowne Twenty and Woodside Gardens Neighborhoods. The pantry has been depleted through serving many families and children who lacked basic meals over the Christmas break. This week we are inviting everyone to consider purchasing some or all of the following for the pantry. Below is a list of needs that Rita Dorsey, who runs the pantry, gave us. As you pass through the doors of your local grocery store this week please pray for the Lord to incline your heart to be generous in meeting this need.
Please bring all goods to Downtown Hope during any of next Sunday’s Gatherings and place them on the table by our front doors. Reach out if you have any questions: firstname.lastname@example.org
